The department was established with the founding of the college in 1971. The department is affiliated with the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs. Vision: The College's Media Unit aspires to build a powerful media system capable of covering scientific, cultural and administrative activities using the latest graphic and printing technologies and creating pages on various social networking sites. Mission and objectives: The unit seeks to present a prominent and bright vision of the nature of work in the College of Agriculture, with all its scientific, cultural, and administrative aspects, in a way that contributes to the advancement of the wheel of development in the college, and creates a space of communication between the college and society. mission: Working to cover activities and events at the college (conferences, seminars, discussion panels, sports festivals, celebrations, events, etc.), highlighting them and pushing them to all media outlets. Coordinating and facilitating the tasks of all satellite channels and other media outlets at all university institutions to complete their media reports. Organizing conferences and celebrations at the college and implementing the media aspects of those celebrations through print, audio and visual media. Following up on all media outlets and matters published in them related to college activities, and always attending with the media in such activities. Documenting cooperation orders among university members, ensuring good relations with the public, spreading awareness of the university’s work, embodying its achievements through available media, ensuring the reception of delegations and experts, and organizing introductory visits for them. Editing all news carried out by departments and units in the college, including conferences, seminars, and seminars, in addition to extracurricular activities in all fields. Covering the college’s scientific, administrative, technical, extracurricular, and other activities; To be a link with the media department at the university presidency and other media outlets in the community. Preserving, archiving and documenting the college’s activities for informational purposes and in a way that serves to demonstrate the college’s reputation and its social and scientific standing among the various colleges and scientific institutions. Strengthening the relationship between the college and other university colleges, relevant state departments, and civil society institutions in order to spread cultural and social awareness through what is published in newspapers and magazines to serve the college’s reputation and goals. Participate in preparing various college guides with all college departments and units, and maintain links with media institutions related to making documentaries related to the college and its activities.
