The Department of Animal Production at the Faculty of Agriculture at University of Basrah organized a workshop on the reality of animal production problems and solutions for the poultry projects sector and livestock education projects in Iraq and Basra Governorate in particular. The workshop aimed to search for the causes of problems and obstacles, as well as in presenting some appropriate solutions that can address these problems and reduce their effects on the reality of animal production. The workshop in which was attended by Professor Dr. Asaad Yahya Ayed and Assistant Professor Dr. Qutaiba Jassim Ghani, Department of Animal Production at the Faculty of Agriculture at Basra University, an explanation and clarification of the true reality of animal production regarding the poultry sector and the strategic sector, as well as offering and discussing the real reasons behind the deterioration The reality of animal production in Iraq and Basra in particular. The workshop recommended that educators educate by taking some of the fodder alternatives available in the governorate with some additions to them for the purpose of reducing production costs, as well as working to support breeders, especially in the field of entry of the foreign product.
