A thesis entitled "An Environmental and Diagnostic Studies of some leafminers (Diptera) in Basrah Province" was discussed by Graduate student (MSc.) Saad Jabbar Jaafar, department of Plant Protection, College of Agriculture, University of Basrah.  A field survey was conducted to diagnosis some species of the leaf miners Liriomyza bryoniae, Chromatomia, Scaptomyza flava, and Pegomya hyoscyam; the study aimed also to determine the percentage and density of the pests cross of the Province.
