Assistant Prof. Muslim Ashour Abdul Wahid, the lecturer in  Plant Protection Department , participated in the workshop held by the Ministry of Agriculture in the holy Karbala to develop the bee sector in Iraq.
 The workshop has been held during November 25-26 ,  by the bee department.
Nine agricultural directorates were participated of, in addition to a number of colleges of agriculture from different universities.
On the first day, the workshop included two theoretical lectures, the first on modern technical methods in control Varroa pest, the second on the disease N. ceranae , and on the second day two practical lectures on how to diagnose Varroa pest and microscopic examination of the disease  N. ceranae
