University of Basrah organizes an electronic symposium entitled Problems of date palm plants resulting from textile cultivation and ways to treat them, with the participation of professors from outside and inside Iraq. Lecturers: 1- Dr. Abdelbaset Odeh Ibrahim, a consultant. Oman 2- Prof. Ezzedine Gadallah, director of the center plant for palms. The lecturers touched on the problems of palm trees and methods of treatment. The results of the symposium recommended the necessity of relying on certified breeders and following modern methods in matching varieties, taking genetic fingerprints, paying attention to laboratories, reducing re-cultivation, and relying on good sources of agricultural media.
