Professor Abdullah Abdul Aziz Abdullah, a lecturer in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, chaired the committee defending the master's thesis of master's student Ibrahim Nouri Mazhar, at the College of Agriculture at the University of Kufa. The thesis was titled "Evaluation of Growth, Yield, and Antioxidant Content of Three Cherry Tomato Hybrids Under the Influence of Supplemental Lighting."

The thesis aimed to evaluate the growth, yield, and antioxidant content of three cherry tomato hybrids under the influence of supplemental lighting.

The study showed that the use of supplemental lighting significantly improved growth, yield, and increased the antioxidant content of the fruit, which is of high nutritional importance due to its ability to combat free radicals.
