PhD study the effect of sewage on the waters of the Shatt Al-Basrah and the amount of toxic substances accumulation in fish meat

As part of a PhD study project on the effect of sewage flows on the water, sediments and fish of the Shatt al-Basra and the health effects of eating caught fish, Prof. Dr. Sajid Saad Hassan and Prof. Dr. Amjad Kazem Rasan, accompanied by doctoral student Kazem Hashim Hassan, areas in the Shatt al-Basra, in order to determine the areas of study for the student, given that the environment is polluted by sewage flows and the heavy elements it contains, which find their way to fish meat through the food chain. Giving importance to such issues by the decision makers in the central and local governments, as it directly harms human life and health, especially in Basra Governorate. He stressed that the student, during this project, will determine the size and amount of the expected damage through the results obtained from the project.
