A couple of University of Basrah faculty has received the acKnowledgment letter from the president of University of Basrah, Dr. Asad Shaheen for their efforts to test 21 cultivars of Cucumis melo flexuosus. The cultivars have planted in the desert area at Basrah city, irrigated with saline well water, and shown very promising results. The study is supervised by Dr. Abudllah Abudalazez and Dr. Abudalakareem Mohammed  and carried out by a graduate student, Haider Kareem.
