
The first edition of a book was published under the title (Nutrition of Farmed Fish), which was authored by Prof. Dr. Adel Yaqoub Al-Dubaikal and Prof. Dr. Majid Makki Taher from the University of Basra / College of Agriculture / Aquaculture Unit and in partnership with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Amin Hamza from Sudan The book consists of 324 pages and contains ten chapters. The first chapter dealt with the introduction and the second dealt with nutrients that included proteins, amino acids, lipids, fatty acids, carbohydrates and their divisions, and all kinds of vitamins and minerals. The third chapter dealt with digestion and absorption of all the elements mentioned in the previous chapter, while the fourth chapter dealt with the absorption of all these Elements The fifth chapter dealt with the construction and demolition metabolism of all these elements. The sixth chapter dealt with all kinds of energy, such as digestion energy, construction energy, and the pathways of this energy, while the seventh chapter dealt with the procedures of all fish feeding experiments. The eighth chapter dealt with methods for estimating food intake and gastric emptying methods. The different methods and equations for their calculation, while the tenth and final chapter dealt with the management of fish feeding, in which feeding tables and different feeding methods were dealt with. The book is one of the important references in the scientific library, which contributes to raising the name of the university.
