The University of Basrah organizes a workshop on the Bologna system of higher education


The College of Agriculture / University of Basra organized a workshop on the Bologna system of higher education for the colleges of agriculture and veterinary medicine after adding the two colleges to work in this system according to the directives of the Minister of Higher Education.
The workshop, which was attended by the Councils of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, the examination committees, and the rapporteurs of the scientific departments and branches, aimed to clarify the mechanism of work in the Bologna system of higher education and what is required of the colleges to prepare it at the beginning of the new academic year.
The workshop, which was attended by Prof. Dr. Shukri Shaker Faleh, Director of the Student Affairs Department at the University, and Prof. Dr. Ammar Salman Daoud and A.M.D. Hisham Latif Sawadi and Dr. Haider Jassim Fadel, introducing the Bologna system, how to prepare the various guides for the system, how to divide study hours per semester and one, and distribute them to cover 15 weeks, in addition to how to distribute academic grades during the semester, and prepare and update the curriculum to suit the labor market and the problems that the region suffers from. Also, the formation of sub-committees in departments and scientific branches to follow up on curricula was also emphasized, and attention was paid to the quality of education and how to evaluate professors within this system.
