The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra continues its training course on climate-smart agriculture.

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra continues to hold a training course for male and female farmers on "Climate-Smart Agriculture" as part of its community service activities. The course was attended by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmed Ghazi Muhammad Al-Shawi; the Assistant Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sadiq Mohsen Jabbar; and the Head of the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment, Salem Ajrabbandar. The course also featured farmers from various agricultural sectors.

The Dean delivered a speech about the content, objectives, and importance of this training course, particularly regarding the concept of climate-smart agriculture. He also highlighted its effective role in providing participants with the skills necessary to adopt sustainable and effective agricultural practices, improve agricultural operations, and increase production, thus contributing to adaptation to climate change.
