Dean’s speech on the occasion of the new academic year

Dear colleagues, faculty members and staff of the College of Agriculture

My dear sons and daughters, students

May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you, and after:

I am pleased to welcome you all on the occasion of the new academic year, wishing you a successful start, full of ambition and giving. This day represents a new opportunity for each of us to move forward in our scientific and practical careers, and we at the College of Agriculture believe that science is the basis for building the future and achieving progress and prosperity.

Today you are on the cusp of a new phase, full of challenges and opportunities. Every day of this academic year represents a step towards achieving your goals and ambitions in serving your country, contributing to the development of sustainable agriculture, and enhancing food security. In this college, we bear the responsibility of providing the best scientific and applied experiences that qualify you to face the challenges of the future with ability and efficiency.

I urge you to persevere and diligently, and to invest all the capabilities available to you within the college, whether by attending lectures and laboratories, or participating in research and field activities. Always remember that science does not stop at the borders of the classroom, but rather is a lifestyle that depends on research, exploration and continuous development.

Finally, I can only express my sincere appreciation for the efforts of the faculty and administrators, who are doing everything in their power to provide you with a stimulating and supportive learning environment, wishing you all an academic year full of success and excellence.
