Professor Dr. Sarmed Ghazi Muhammad Al-Shawi, Dean of the College of Agriculture, from the Department of Food Sciences at the College of Agriculture, University ofBasra, was selected as a scientific reviewer for 41 research papers submitted to the journal Applied Food Research, with an impact factor of 4.5, for the first quarter of 2019.

Dr. Al-Shawi stated that this journal publishes research in the field of applied food research and is published by Elsevier Publishing in the Netherlands. He was also evaluated in the journal Physiological Mini Reviews, published by the American Association of Physiological Sciences in Argentina.
