Participation of a lecturer at the University of Basra as head of the discussion committee in the Department of Food Sciences at the University of Kufa

Assistant Professor Dr. Wael Ali Sawadi, lecturer and head of the Food Sciences Department at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, participated as chair ofthe master's thesis defense committee at the Department of Food Sciences at the College of Agriculture at the University of Kufa on Monday, June 23, 2025. The thesis was presented by master's student Lubab Abdul Hassan Mahdi. The thesis was titled "A Study of the Effect of Adding Aqueous Extracts of the Arak Tree on the Qualitative Properties of Locally Processed Meat."
The thesis aimed to determine the effect of aqueous extraction on the active ingredients present in the Arak tree root extract, their biological effectiveness against microorganisms that cause meat spoilage, and their ability to extend the shelf life of processed meat and improve its quality.
