The President of the University of Basra receives a letter of participation to conclude his participation in the University Leadership Development Program.

Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, President of the University of Basra, concluded his participation in the Senior Leadership Development Program for Presidents of Public Universities, which was held in Baghdad from July 14 to 17, 2025. The program was supervised by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers/Higher Institute for Leadership Preparation and Qualification, and in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The program was held under the theme: "Productive and Effective Iraqi Universities... Leading the Future and Achieving Sustainable Development."

The program was attended by presidents of 37 public universities, and focused on building the capacity of university leaders in the areas of strategic planning, governance, and institutional management. This will contribute to the development of the higher education system and enhance its performance in line with modern challenges.
