The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Sarmed Ghazi Muhammad Al-Shawi, participated in the opening of a new academic building for the College of Dentistry in Al-Zubair District. The opening was sponsored by the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim Al-Asadi, and attended by the Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, a number of representatives and members of the Provincial Council, the Scientific Assistant, and a group of deans. This comes as part of the university's efforts to expand its educational infrastructure and provide advanced study and research environments.

During a speech delivered at the opening ceremony, the President of the University of Basra emphasized that the project represents a qualitative shift in the path of university education, emphasizing that the new building will provide an integrated academic environment that will contribute to preparing a generation of students with the competence and knowledge to serve the nation.
