The esteemed Dean of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, participated in a workshop on academic development at Basra University, organized by the College of Engineering.  The workshop focused on the academic plan for the 2025-2026 academic year and the roadmap for scientific advancement.

The workshop aimed to reinforce the principle of strategic planning in the educational process and to enhance collaboration between academic departments and research centers, thus contributing to improving the overall performance of the university and developing a more robust academic and research environment at Basra University.

The workshop included a lecture by the Assistant University President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Haider Khazal Mahbes, who outlined the main components of the university's academic plan and the mechanisms for developing a clear roadmap to promote scientific and research development, in line with academic quality standards and international rankings.
