Dr. Amjad Kadhim Rasen, a lecturer at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, participated in the defense of a doctoral dissertation by researcher Nouha Sabah Awani, from the Department of Fish Health and Production at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Salahaddin University-Erbil. The dissertation, titled "Some Life History Aspects of Three Fish Species in the Greater and Lesser Zab Rivers in the Kurdistan Region-Erbil," aimed to assess the growth, feeding habits, and other life history characteristics of three fish species in two different aquatic environments.  The research and field studies were conducted in the Greater and Lesser Zab rivers between December 2022 and November 2023.
