The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on "A Comparative Study of the Efficacy of Nanoparticle Chitosan Gel and Pure Chitosan in Treating External Fungal Infections in Ornamental Fish."
The seminar, presented by researcher Oumait Faisal Mohammed Hussein, aimed to explore the use of environmentally friendly materials in treating certain fungal diseases in fish, specifically using nanoparticle chitosan gel, and to compare its efficacy with that of pure chitosan gel.
The seminar covered topics such as the morphological and molecular classification of the fungus, experimental infection of fish with the fungus, and a comparison of treatment outcomes using nanoparticle chitosan gel and pure chitosan gel, with histological analysis as an additional method of evaluation.
