In the presence of the dean of the college, several faculty members, and students, the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a flag-raising ceremony to celebrate Iraqi National Day on Thursday morning, October 1, 2025.

Dr. Sadiq Jabbar Mohsen, the assistant dean for academic affairs, delivered a speech on the occasion, emphasizing the importance of remembering national sacrifices and fostering a sense of patriotism and loyalty to Iraq.

The event included a formal flag-raising ceremony in the college courtyard, held in a vibrant atmosphere of national pride.  Students expressed their pride in their Iraqi identity, and the courtyard was decorated with Iraqi flags and scarves.

The dean of the college stated that this event is part of a series of activities aimed at reinforcing national values ​​and promoting good citizenship among students and academic staff.
