The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific workshop titled "Explanation of the Annual Evaluation Form for Faculty Members," as part of enhancing transparency and clarifying the approved academic evaluation mechanisms for faculty members in colleges.

The workshop aimed to highlight the items in the annual evaluation form and explain how points are calculated in various areas, such as academic, research, administrative, and community activities, as well as attendance and participation in academic committees and councils.

The lecturer, Professor Aqeel Abboud, provided a comprehensive explanation of the importance of annual evaluation as a tool for motivating academic performance and achieving quality. He emphasized the need to accurately and transparently document activities to ensure the rights of faculty members and promote the principle of fairness in evaluation.

The workshop also featured an open discussion between participants and lecturers to answer questions related to the mechanisms for completing the form and the criteria used to monitor the academic and research efforts of each faculty member.

At the conclusion of the workshop, it was emphasized that these awareness-raising initiatives contribute to raising awareness of administrative and academic procedures and enhancing the culture of quality in higher education institutions.
