The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a discussion session on physiological damage to tomato plants.
The session, delivered by lecturer Abdul Hussein Qasim Madi, aimed to define damage as non-pathological or infectious, as it is not caused by a living organism such as bacteria, fungi, nematodes, or viruses. Rather, it occurs due to environmental conditions, stress, irregular irrigation and fertilization, and nutritional deficiencies.
The session included a discussion of twenty-one physiological damages, their symptoms, causes, and prevention methods.
