Basra University organizes a discussion session on predatory aquatic insects.

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a discussion session on a diagnostic and ecological study of predatory aquatic insects of the order Hemiptera and their role in biological control of incomplete-stage mosquitoes in some areas of southern Iraq.
The study, presented by researcher Haider Shaker Darwish, aimed to conduct a field survey of predatory aquatic insects and mosquito species in Basra Governorate, southern Iraq, and to determine the predatory efficiency of these insects, as well as to study the functional response of selected species.
The study included the most important environmental factors affecting the spread of these insects by measuring certain environmental factors such as temperature, salinity, pH, and dissolved oxygen.
