The Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, organized an awareness workshop on “The Student Discipline Law and its Role in Promoting Academic Values.”

The workshop aimed to raise legal awareness among students and promote a culture of discipline and responsibility on campus by highlighting the importance of adhering to university regulations and their role in building a responsible academic character that contributes to the advancement of the university and society.

The workshop, presented by Professor Dr. Mohammed Malik Yassin and Assistant Professor Dr. Sabreen Hazem Abdul Wahid, included a detailed presentation of the most prominent articles of the Student Discipline Law in higher education institutions, an explanation of the duties and rights stipulated by the law, and a clarification of the disciplinary penalties resulting from behavioral violations within the university.
