Dr. Haider Subaih Shino, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, participated in the 10th National Conference on Environmental Sciences and Natural Resources, organized by the Department of Environment at the College of Science, University of Basra. The conference brought together a select group of researchers and academics from various universities and research institutions.

Dr. Shino presented a research paper titled:
(Effect of Seaweed Extract and Phosphorus Fertilization on the Chemical Composition of Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) Leaves and Fruit). The paper investigated the effects of spraying with seaweed extract and adding phosphorus fertilizer on the chemical composition of fennel leaves and fruit.

The research aims to develop modern agricultural methods by utilizing natural growth stimulants and sustainable fertilization techniques. These methods contribute to improving the quality of plant production and enhancing the nutritional value of crops, thus supporting efforts to achieve food security and sustainable agricultural development.

This participation comes within the framework of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra's support for applied scientific research and its encouragement of researchers to contribute to finding scientific solutions to agricultural and environmental problems, keeping pace with modern scientific developments and contributing to serving society and the agricultural sector in Iraq.
