The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific workshop entitled "From Meat Chemistry to Psychological Counseling: How Food Affects Emotions and Educational Behavior."
The workshop, presented by Dr. Rafif Abdul-Hafiz Muhammad Taqi and Dr. Alaa Muhammad Sadkhan, aimed to highlight the close link between meat chemistry and brain chemistry, and its direct impact on psychological state and educational behavior.
The workshop emphasized that a balanced diet is fundamental to disciplined behavior and improved academic performance. It also pointed to the role of nutrients in regulating neurotransmitters (such as serotonin and dopamine), and how eating patterns significantly influence emotions and concentration levels.
The recommendations stressed the importance of utilizing nutritional awareness as a supportive therapeutic tool in school psychological counseling, and the necessity of cooperation between educational and health authorities to ensure a balanced and positive learning environment.
