The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar entitled "Sustainability Technologies to Address the Challenges of Plant and Animal Production."

The seminar, presented by Dr. Murtadha Abdul-Adheem, aimed to explain the technologies used in agricultural sustainability and how to utilize natural resources to maintain soil health, control irrigation water quantities using the latest methods, and improve agricultural production.

Another aspect, presented by Dr. Asaad Yousef, addressed the use of saline water for cooling agricultural greenhouses, plastic tunnels, and animal enclosures, which has contributed to reducing water consumption for irrigation and domestic use.
