Dr. Aqeel Aboud Suhaim, from the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, participated as a member of the committee discussing the Master's thesis of researcher Karrar Adnan Hashim Al-Hajami at the College of Agriculture and Marshes, University of Dhi Qar. The thesis was titled "The Effect of Polyethylene Glycol and Seaweed on Some Vegetative and Chemical Growth Characteristics of Tissue-Produced Young Date Palm Offshoots." The study aimed to test three concentrations of polyethylene glycol and evaluate the effect of each, individually and in combination, on improving offshoot growth and chemical properties. The study showed that high concentrations of both agents played a role in enhancing several vegetative and chemical characteristics, confirming the role of these treatments in increasing the growth efficiency and improving the quality of tissue-produced Barhi date palm offshoots.
