University of Basra organizes a scientific visit to the laboratories of the Central Qurna College of Education

In order to enhance the practical and applied skills of postgraduate students, the Food Science Department at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, organized a scientific visit for Master's students enrolled in the Instrumental Analysis course to the Central Laboratory at the College of Education in Al-Qurna District, under the supervision of the course instructor, Dr. Diaa Falih Abdullah.

This visit aimed to familiarize students with a range of unique and advanced scientific equipment, considered true treasures among Iraqi universities, thus enriching their experience in the field of advanced instrumental analysis.

Among the most prominent equipment examined were the Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS), the Liquid Chromatography-Transcriptome-Mass Spectrometer (LC-MS/MS), and the Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer-Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS).

The students also viewed several other modern devices specializing in biotechnology, which serve a wide range of scientific research sectors.
