Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, participated in an important meeting held today at the university's headquarters, chaired by Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, the university president. The meeting was held to receive a high-level delegation from the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), headed by the PMF Directorate, led by its director, Major General Fadhil Al-Basiri.

University President Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi affirmed the university's commitment to supporting all national institutions, praising the significant role played by the PMF in defending Iraq and its holy sites.

This meeting comes within the framework of the university's plans to build bridges of cooperation and support all national institutions. Attendees discussed ways to enhance this cooperation in areas that serve the community and the nation.

The Dean stated, "The College of Agriculture is part of a national system working in an integrated manner. We are proud of the sacrifices made by the PMF, and we affirm our absolute commitment to utilizing our academic and practical expertise to support the members of this national institution and empower them scientifically and through training, believing that nation-building begins with the integration of academic and security efforts."

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on activating the joint memoranda of understanding and forming follow-up working committees to ensure the continuity and development of the relationship between the two institutions.
