The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on "Integrated Pest Management: A Cornerstone of Sustainable Agriculture."

The seminar aimed to introduce the concept of integrated pest management and its pivotal role in achieving sustainable agriculture.

The seminar, presented by Dr. Aqeel Adnan Al-Youssef and Dr. Mohammed Mahdi Mazal, covered the pillars of integrated pest management, including agricultural control, biological control, and mechanical and physical control.

The seminar recommended the necessity of accurate pest monitoring and diagnosis, and timely decision-making, to enhance environmental protection and human health while maintaining crop productivity and quality.
