A master's thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, investigated "Evaluating the Efficacy of Ferula Officinalis Root Powder as a Sexual Stimulant for Older Laying Hens."

The thesis, presented by researcher Ghadran Kadhim Hussein, aimed to study the effect of adding different levels of Ferula Officinalis root powder to the diet on some productive, physiological, and reproductive characteristics of older hens.

The study included a field experiment in which 72 older hens were divided into four experimental groups, each receiving Ferula Officinalis root powder in its diet.

The study recommended adding Ferula Officinalis root powder to the diet of older laying hens due to its positive effect on improving productive and physiological performance.
