Within the framework of scientific and service-oriented cooperation among the colleges of the University of Basra, Dr. Hassan Neama Habib, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, participated in an introductory workshop on the "Entrepreneurship Initiative to Support Youth and Graduates."
The workshop was held at the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Science Gardens Department and the Entrepreneurship Division, and witnessed active participation from students and those interested in developing small projects.
The workshop included a comprehensive overview of the government initiative's objectives, including an explanation of the practical steps for registering through the designated platforms, a detailed explanation of the subsidized loans offered by the government to finance small and medium-sized enterprises, and an emphasis on how to transform the innovative ideas of students from the Colleges of Agriculture and Engineering into viable projects that contribute to economic development.
During the workshop, Dr. Habib stressed that the role of the Entrepreneurship Division extends beyond simply introducing the initiative. It also includes providing technical and advisory consultations to students to ensure the continued success of their projects after securing funding. He emphasized that these initiatives are fundamental to reducing unemployment and fostering a spirit of innovation among graduates.
