The University of Basra organizes a specialized course on "Smart Management of Wheat Crops" for employees of the Basra Agriculture Directorate.

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra held a specialized training course titled "Smart Management of Wheat Crops," which lasted for two weeks and targeted technical staff at the Basra Agriculture Directorate. A number of professors from the Field Crops Department, the Agricultural Mechanization Department, and the Soil Science and Water Resources Department participated in delivering the lectures.

The course aimed to enhance the scientific and practical capabilities of the participants and improve their job performance by adopting modern principles in the management of strategic crops.

The course included a training curriculum covering administrative and technical aspects such as planning and monitoring mechanisms for the growth stages of wheat crops, modern techniques that apply smart farming concepts to improve productivity and reduce losses, and the optimal use of water, soil, and fertilizers to ensure the sustainability of natural resources.

At the conclusion of the course, certificates of participation were distributed to the trainees in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sadiq Jabbar Mohsen, who commended the participants' high level of commitment and emphasized the university's role in providing state institutions with academic and field expertise to achieve comprehensive agricultural development.
