The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra inspects the Department of Fish and Marine Resources to follow up on laboratory development mechanisms.

The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, conducted an extensive field visit to the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources. He was accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and the Head of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources, and the purpose of the visit was to assess the academic and research activities within the department.

The tour included a visit to the scientific laboratories, where the Dean reviewed the new organizational procedures implemented to ensure a modern learning environment. He also assessed the efficiency of the laboratory equipment and its compliance with quality standards and academic accreditation requirements. Furthermore, he observed the practical training of undergraduate and graduate students to ensure it meets the demands of the job market and rigorous scientific research.

During his visit, the Dean expressed his satisfaction with the advanced level of organization and modernization within the department, emphasizing that these steps are part of the college's strategy to enhance the quality of higher education.

At the conclusion of the tour, the Dean commended the efforts of the department's leadership, teaching staff, and technical personnel, urging them to continue their approach of development and innovation to further the educational mission of our esteemed college.
