The College of Engineering at the University of Basra hosted the launch of the "Knowledge Forum Competition" for students from all colleges within the university (both public and private). Organized by the Student Activities Department at the university's administration, the competition took place amidst an atmosphere brimming with scientific and cultural rivalry.

This participation was made possible through the direct guidance and support of the college's dean, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, underscoring its commitment to empowering students through extracurricular activities and enriching their cultural and intellectual development alongside academic excellence.

The forum included a series of competitive rounds that tested students' knowledge in diverse fields, including general science and technology, Islamic culture and history, literature and arts, and general information.

The forum aimed to strengthen fraternal bonds and cooperation among students from public and private colleges in the province, foster a competitive environment that encourages students to read and explore beyond their immediate surroundings, and discover student talents in intellectual and cultural fields to represent the university at national events. The participating delegation from the College of Agriculture expressed their delight with this experience, emphasizing that attending such gatherings significantly contributes to shaping students' personalities and fostering a spirit of teamwork.
