As part of the joint sports cooperation between the university's colleges, Dr. Waleed Latif Mu'ayridh, a faculty member in the Student Activities Division/Sports Unit at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, participated in managing and refereeing the final match of the "Dean of the College of Marine Sciences Cup" football tournament, which was held on Monday, February 16, 2026.

The match was characterized by an atmosphere of enthusiasm and competitiveness between the two qualifying teams. Dr. Waleed was chosen due to his extensive academic and practical experience in the field of sports, which contributed to the match being conducted in a technically and legally sound manner, reflecting the high level of sportsmanship of the tournament.
