The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sadiq Jabbar Mohsen, conducted an inspection tour to monitor the progress of the final examinations for the first semester for first-year undergraduate students. The purpose of the tour was to directly observe the examination environment and the logistical services provided to the students.
The tour included visits to the examination halls, where the Dean focused on ensuring the availability of amenities for students, including adequate lighting and ventilation, and the arrangement of seating to guarantee smooth flow and the required social distancing. He also inquired with students about the comprehensiveness, clarity, and relevance of the exam questions to the prescribed curriculum. Furthermore, he monitored the work of the proctors and examination committees in recording attendance and adhering to the applicable university regulations and guidelines.
During his tour, the Dean commended the efforts made by the academic departments and examination committees in creating a suitable environment. He emphasized the importance of students adhering to the allotted time and examination instructions to ensure excellent performance and to address any obstacles that students might encounter during the examinations.
At the conclusion of his tour, the Dean expressed his best wishes to all students for success and achievement in their academic pursuits, which will contribute to enhancing the college's academic standing.
