The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on "Fungi as Tools in Bioengineering and Sustainable Agriculture: Mechanisms, Applications, and Future Prospects."
The seminar, presented by Dr. Najla Hussein Mohammed, aimed to highlight the crucial role of fungi as a fundamental element in bioengineering and sustainable agriculture, emphasizing their potential to improve plant health. The seminar also addressed the importance of fungi as the world's primary source of industrially used enzymes, accounting for over 50% of production.
The seminar further explored future prospects for using synthetic biology to cultivate highly productive fungi.
