The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, participated in the Fourth International Scientific Conference entitled "Historical Research in the Digital Age," hosted by the College of Humanities at the University of Basra. The conference brought together a distinguished group of researchers and academics from various universities and scientific institutions.
This participation reflects the College's commitment to strengthening scientific collaboration and engaging with advanced research experiences, as well as keeping abreast of the latest digital methods and technologies used in developing scientific research, particularly in the humanities.
During his attendance at the conference, the Dean emphasized the importance of knowledge integration between the humanities and sciences, and the role of this integration in raising the level of academic studies and enhancing the quality of scientific research outputs.
The conference featured the presentation and discussion of several rigorous scientific papers that addressed digital transformations and their impact on historical research methodologies. It also highlighted the most prominent challenges and opportunities that the digital age presents to researchers.
