Professor Dr. Salem Ajjar Bandar, Head of the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, has been granted a patent for his design entitled:

"Replacing the Cylinder Head Gasket with Metal and Teflon Rings in a Single-Cylinder Four-Stroke Diesel Engine."

This innovation represents an advanced engineering solution to address the problem of gas and fluid leaks in diesel engines. It employs a new mechanism that separates the sealing functions between the metal and plastic rings, along with precise mechanical modifications that contribute to a tight and sustainable seal.

This design is expected to enhance engine performance efficiency, increase operational reliability, and extend and reduce engine life.
