University of Basra organizes a scientific visit to the Polymer Research Center

The Food Science Department at the College of Agriculture organized a scientific visit for second-year students to the Polymer Research Center/Chemistry Laboratories. The visit aimed to enhance the students' practical skills and connect theoretical concepts with practical applications.

The visit included an introduction to key laboratory tests and modern equipment used in chemical analyses. Dr. Zainab Juma and Professor Ali Mohammed provided a comprehensive explanation of the equipment's operation and the techniques employed in the laboratories.

This visit fulfills the requirements of the Biochemistry course (theoretical and practical components) and was supervised by the course instructors, Professor Dr. Wasan Kadhim Abdul-Razzaq and Lecturer Dr. Shireen Fadhil Abbas. They emphasized the importance of developing students' practical skills and exposing them to the latest scientific technologies.

These scientific activities contribute to developing students' abilities and enhancing their practical experience, aligning with the demands of the job market and raising the academic level.
