The University of Basra organizes a seminar entitled "The Effect of Planting Dates, Plant Densities, and Planting Dates on the Growth, Yield, and Quality of Safflower Plants"

The seminar, presented by PhD student Hussein Yassin Jabbar, aimed to clarify the role of appropriate planting dates for safflower in increasing growth indicators, yield, and quality under climate change. It also emphasized the necessity of selecting optimal plant densities to ensure the crop receives the best growth requirements, as well as choosing genetic varieties suited to the conditions of the southern region to guarantee increased production and high quality, given the crop's importance and multiple uses as an oilseed, industrial, and medicinal crop.
