University of Basra organizes a seminar on nematode pheromones

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on nematode pheromones and their potential use in biological control.

The seminar, presented by Dr. Ali Zuhair Abdul, aimed to introduce nematode pheromones, their chemical basis, and their classifications.

The seminar also covered proposed methods for using these pheromones as an alternative means of nematode control.

The seminar addressed the losses caused by nematodes, the effects of pesticides used to control them, and the importance of pheromones that can be used in nematode control.
