The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar on "Studying Types of Microscopes (Light and Electron) and Their Applications in Life Sciences."

The seminar, presented by Dr. Habib Mohsen Hammadi, aimed to clarify the importance of microscopic techniques in analyzing and studying cellular structures and tissues with high precision, while also reviewing the latest applications of light and electron microscopy.

The seminar addressed the pivotal role of advanced microscopes in supporting scientific research, particularly in the fields of histology, cell biology, and medical and industrial applications. It emphasized the necessity of selecting the appropriate technique based on the nature of the sample and the research objective.

The seminar recommended promoting the use of modern microscopic techniques, developing researchers' skills in sample preparation and results analysis, and supporting the infrastructure of specialized laboratories, given their direct impact on improving the quality of scientific research and achieving accurate and reliable results.
