A master's thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, investigated "The Effect of Nitrogen Fertilizer Level and Method of Application on Some Growth Characteristics of Okra Plants under Surface and Subsurface Drip Irrigation Systems."
The thesis, presented by researcher Karam Jaafar Sadiq, aimed to study the effect of zinc application levels on okra plant growth and yield under these two irrigation systems.
The study included an examination of okra plants' response to different zinc levels and application methods, comparing the effects of surface and subsurface irrigation on vegetative characteristics and yield.
The thesis recommended adopting the most efficient application level and method, along with selecting the most suitable irrigation system, to improve productivity and water use efficiency.
