Dr. Khadija Sadiq Jaafar, a faculty member in the Food Science Department at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, along with another researcher, published a scientific paper titled "Study of the Chemical Composition of Fish Fillets Packaged in Gelatin Films Fortified with Pumpkin Seed Oil and Rosemary Oil, Preserved in Cold Storage" in the Egyptian Journal of Aquatic Biology & Fisheries, a reputable scientific journal indexed in Scopus Q4. The study aimed to evaluate the effect of using gelatin films fortified with pumpkin seed oil and rosemary oil on improving the sensory characteristics and chemical composition of sardine fillets during cold storage.
