The University of Basra organizes a scientific visit to the Tamam Dairy Company and Factory in Basra Governorate.

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a field trip for first-year students to the Tamam Dairy Company and Factory in Basra Governorate. The trip was supervised by Dr. Sawsan Ali Hamid, Dr. Hassan Hadi Hussein, Dr. Dirgham Ismail, and Dr. Elham Kadhim Nasser, and was part of the courses "Principles and Technology of Dairy" and "Engineering Workshops."

The visit aimed to familiarize the students with the factory's various production lines, including those for yogurt, labneh, cheese, and cream. The students learned about the technical stages and procedures used in producing these products. Scientific discussions were also held regarding the manufacturing capabilities of dairy products that could be developed within the factory's work environment.

The visit included a lecture by the factory's senior engineer, who reviewed dairy processing mechanisms and the modern technologies used in the field.

At the end of the visit, the accompanying team expressed their gratitude to the management of Tamam Dairy Company, represented by the Managing Director, for their cooperation and support, which contributed to the success of this scientific visit. For his part, the Director expressed his gratitude to the Dean and Head of the Food Science Department, commending their commitment to supporting local products and fostering scientific collaboration and the exchange of expertise between academic institutions and the industrial sector.
