The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a field trip for second, third, and fourth-year students in the Department of Soil Science and Water Resources to Al-Fares Agricultural Company in Basra Governorate. Several faculty members from the department also participated in the trip, which was part of the college's efforts to enhance practical application and connect theoretical concepts with real-world experience.
The visit included a tour of the company's facilities, during which students learned about the work mechanisms and modern technologies used in soil treatment and water resource management. They also received detailed explanations from specialists about the most important equipment and processes employed in this field.
The students actively participated in the visit, asking questions and engaging in scientific discussions, which broadened their understanding and enhanced their practical skills.
The participants expressed their gratitude to the management of Al-Fares Company for their warm welcome and cooperation, emphasizing the importance of such activities in developing the students' academic and professional level.
