The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra receives ministerial committees to evaluate its academic programs within the program accreditation track for the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering and the Department of Field Crops.

In its pursuit of enhancing the quality of its academic programs and obtaining program accreditation, and in accordance with Ministerial Order No. 2305-34762 dated March 30, 2026, which established two teams to evaluate programs in agricultural colleges,

the relevant ministerial committees visited the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah to evaluate the Bachelor's degree programs in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering and the Department of Field Crops, and to fulfill the requirements for granting program accreditation.

The ministerial committees were received by the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, and the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Muhammad Al-Shawi, who welcomed the committees and emphasized the importance of program accreditation in developing the educational process and enhancing the university's academic standing.

During the meeting, the University President presented letters of appreciation to the committee members in recognition of their efforts in evaluating the academic programs.

The University President commended the academic and organizational standards of the College of Agriculture, praising the accreditation of four of its departments, which reflects the college's commitment to implementing quality standards and achieving academic excellence.
